Stonehaven
Gateway
With Stonehaven Gateway, we will create an attractive access point to the town, promoting it as a forward-facing and sustainable destination
The ambitious plan will create an electric vehicle (EV) charging hub at the AWPR (Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route) junction with the A90.
The site will host 25 EV charging points and will provide a much-needed facility for both locals and visitors, as well as supporting the region’s goals to increase the uptake of electric vehicles in the region.
Stonehaven Gateway will also accommodate a custom-built unit for a high-quality retailer not currently represented in the town. We believe this will bring a new diversity of shopping experience to the local community as well as generating flexible new employment opportunities.
Stonehaven Gateway will provide
25 EV charging points
A high quality food retail outlet
New employment opportunities
The next round of public consultations begins on Thursday 26 February 2026, at 3-8pm at the Station Hotel, Stonehaven.
There is a second session at the same time and location on Thursday 26 March, 2026.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us, and we hope you can continue to voice your support.
It is important to us that we carry out effective and inclusive engagement within the local community.
By providing information on the Stonehaven Gateway plans and asking you what you think, we will provide a facility of which the town can be proud.
